The Corruption of Western Culture
Following the Way of Balaam

The story of Balaam "Having eyes full of adultery and that cannot cease from sin, enticing unstable souls. They have a heart trained in covetous practices, and are accursed children.
They have forsaken the right way and gone astray, following the way of Balaam, the Son of Beor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness; but he was rebuked for his iniquity: a dumb donkey speaking with a man’s voice restrained the madness of the prophet.
These are wells without water, clouds carried by a tempest, for whom is reserved the blackness of darkness forever." (2Peter.2:14-17)"[They] have run greedily in the error of Balaam for profit" (Jude 11)
"You have there those who hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balak to put a stumbling block before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed to idols, and to commit sexual immorality." (Rev. 2:14)
Who was Balaam, the Son of Beor?
These are the three references in the New Covenant scriptures concerning Balaam. Peter does not tell us the story, assuming it is well known. He says that his error was loving the wages of unrighteousness, and Jude tells us that his error involved profit. Jesus, in his Revelation to John says that Balaam taught Balak to trip up the nation of Israel by getting them to sin in eating things offered to idols and to commit sexual sins in worship of those idols.
This is one of the first lessons that Israel learned in the wilderness coming out of Egypt on the road to Canaan, present day Palestine.
In Numbers 22-25 we read the story of Balaam and Balak. Balak was the king of Moab, a Canaanite nation located East of the Jordan that Israel had to pass through to get to the land that God had given them. Moab was very afraid of this nation that just walked out of Egypt with a God of fire leading them. So Balak sends for Balaam the seer to curse them for him.
God tells Balaam not to visit Balak. When Balak's messengers arrive, Balaam first tells them that he can only curse whom God curses and bless whom God blesses, and so refuses to go to Balak. Therefore Balak increases the reward to Balaam and asks again for Israel to be cursed. When Balaam asks God again what he should do, God says to go with him. Then Balak takes Balaam to a hill looking down on Israel and tells him to curse them. Balaam again says that he will only speak what God tells him to speak. Therefore Balaam prophesies and the result is that he only blesses Israel. Balaam takes him to a different hill and for more money, tries again to curse them with the same result - only blessings come out of Balaam. Balaam, realizing that he will lose the reward, tries yet again on yet another hill, and here we have one of the most beautiful prophesies of the Old Testament scriptures in blessing Israel.
"I shall see him, but not now: I shall behold him, but not nigh: there shall come a star out of Jacob, and a sceptre shall rise out of Israel..." "Out of Jacob shall come he that shall have dominion..." Num.24:17; 19
After this, since they could not get God to curse Israel, on the advice of Balaam, the people of Moab came and seduced many in Israel and got them to join in their worship of Baal and commit sexual immorality. The best way to trip Israel was to attack them in their moral behavior and their faith and obedience to God.
And Moses said to them: "Have you kept all the women alive? Look, these women caused the children of Israel, through the counsel of Balaam, to trespass against Jehovah in the incident of Peor, and there was a plague among the congregation of Jehovah. Num.31:16
It was by sheer greed that Balaam taught Balak how to trip Israel into sinning against God and causing a plague in their ranks. God then tells Israel to attack the Midianites of Moab for what they did.
"Harass the Midianites, and attack them; for they harassed you with their schemes by which they seduced you in the matter of Peor. Num.25:17-18
An application for today
There was a common proverb in the first century that said, "Evil communications corrupt good morals." Here Paul tells Christians not to be deceived. (1Cor. 15:33) That is, by associating with evil people and listening to their verbal poison all the time it will eventually affect you and corrupt your good character. We tend to become like those with whom we spend time - like the TV and film industry. Those who control what we see in our homes all the time have an undue influence on all of us and not for good. Certainly not to build character or promote purity, justice and righteousness, but specifically aimed at our morality.In the media and especially in the Hollywood movie and TV industries, the Jewish owned studios are slowly, methodically and digressively lowering the standards on the moral filth that they are allowed to show to the public. Certainly, they have already hit the bottom with the pornography industry and the triple X slice and dice films, but no Christian soul watches that obvious trash. But it is not really the Christians that they are aiming at, but rather all those among whom the Christians live, the unsuspecting public who have been taught a relativistic morality all their lives, from elementary school through college. This is the result of allowing the corrupt Jewish controlled Federal Government to oversee our schools.
Hollywood "producers" will shock the public a little bit, one movie at a time. And the shocker will be a popular and well admired personality, even respected for their modesty and good taste in the films they choose to make. We the public have our favorites and we are drawn to the films they make. The publicity hype will tell of the daring scenes that the actress will perform in the nude and try to titillate her fans with a kind of public gossip contrived by the marketing snakes; the latest "scandal". They entice the fans to see more of her beauty and then allow the supporting actors to shock our moral sensibilities by portraying themselves as lesbians who have a hatred of the moral society in which they live.
They will take underage actresses, for example, Rachel Evan Wood, Mischa Barton, Dakota Fanning and most recently Saoirse Ronan and have them do lesbian kisses on screen to shock the public. This is not done lightly. These actresses have contracts on exactly what is required and specifically spelling out what will and will not be shown. I suspect that this is a hurdle that must be surmounted in these girls' careers in order to keep working in the "industry". It seems that everyone who has "made it" in Hollywood have had to pay their 'dues' by appearing in a morally digressive film and acting out unnatural behavior.
The producers know that the public has swallowed Keats lie to which we are all prone, that "Beauty is truth and truth beauty", so they take the beautiful and purposely corrupt them for us on the big screen for all to see, so that the public will slowly internalize it.
Recently there was a huge push to make homosexuality funny. If they can get people to not take it seriously and laugh about it then that is one step to acceptance of the perversion. The queer is a likable fellow and anyone criticizing him or his perversion is the enemy of humanity. Anyone with a morally right character is held up in derision and mockery. That is actually the hate speech that they accuse the righteous of doing. Anyone that is moral or godly is sick and twisted. You tend to agree don't you? You have had about 20 years of that programming.
Why? What are they trying to do?
The Jewish Quarterly, quotes Prof. Nathan Abrams concerning the paramount Jewish role in the pornography industry, and brags that they are run by Jews motivated in part by a hatred of non-Jews. "Porn kings are motivated by a Jewish 'atavistic hatred of Christian authority: they are trying to weaken the dominant culture in America by moral subversion'". "Pornography thus becomes a way of defiling Christian culture."

They want to destroy it just like Balak did for mercenary reasons i.e. political war against the dominant culture of the people. But those who consider us enemies are not at our borders, they are within our communities and slowly corrupting our culture so that we will eventually destroy ourselves or be destroyed for our ungodliness.

It is interesting that the founders of the United States of America were aware of and doing battle with this same corrupting influence on a national scale.
